Corinna has lived on the Bellarine Peninsula since she was ten years old and knew she wanted to bring her kids up in this wonderful spot.
Corinna has been involved in basketball for over 20 years in an administrative role. Corinna tried her hand at playing many years ago, but she confessed to being “useless on the court.” She thought there must be something she could do to be a part of the basketball community. That’s when she found herself on the committee with Sharks Basketball Club Inc., and it wasn’t long before she became treasurer and stayed on for 15 years.
Corinna’s family of ballers consist of her husband of nearly 20 years Shane and their two sons, Aiden and Rhys, who play for Blitz in our Under 16 teams. All three of them play basketball in many different teams across Geelong and the Bellarine both domestic and representative for Peninsula Blitz, Bellarine Storm and Sharks in Geelong.
During the day, Corinna works for the Gordon, who has proven to be a great community partner for us here at Blitz.
Corinna’s passion for our youth and seeing them happy, healthy and on the court can be seen through everything she does for our club. Her dedication and commitment shine through, she always has a smile and a chat with anyone and everyone.
You will find Corinna at many of the games and trainings, whether her family is playing or not, as she loves this community and enjoys seeing the kids have fun, thrive, learn, and grow.
Shae Pearson joined Peninsula Blitz Committee in our Summer 2025 Season. Quickly realising her potential in a Secretary role, Peninsula Blitz was very excited to have Shae nominated and accepted for the position.
She was instrumental in the planning and execution of the Bunnings BBQ Fundraiser, showcasing her great leadership skills. An expert in governance and safety, Shae brings a practical, community-focused approach, supported by her active, sporty family’s deep connection to basketball.
Shae's son has played for Peninsula Blitz for a few seasons in under 10's and now moving up into under 12s for Summer 2024/2025. Her husband Scott, also a committee member, plays for our Blitz Senior Mens team!
Peninsula Blitz is so grateful to have Shae and her basketball playing family on board!
Taegan came on board in Winter 2024 as a Team Manager and general committee member, when her son joined Blitz U12 & U14s.
Most families would have had interactions with Taegan as she is always looking for ways to help each and every family and player. Taegan believes in creating a club "where the committee can develop and grow the club to allow an inclusive and supportive environment for players of all ages, while maintaining the sustainability of the club for future committees."
She comes to Blitz with a strong background in Marketing and Graphic Design, having built her career working for some of Geelong's leading venues. Digital Content Creation is Taegan's bread & butter and she loves showing off the teams skills with reels and videos!
She grew up playing netball but prides herself on learning to shoot a 3 pointer, through the legs dribble and spin the ball on one finger...all to impress her son! This season, Taegan has also taken on the role of Coach of her son's U14 Team, finding a love for the game she didn't know she had!
