On Monday, 25 November 2024, Peninsula Blitz Basketball Club held its inaugural Annual General Meeting at Clifton Springs Primary School, electing a powerhouse leadership team set to transform the club into a community-focused hub for basketball, health, and connection.
The newly elected executive committee includes Peter Hobbs as President, Shae Pearson as Secretary, Corinna Hunter as Treasurer, and Taegan Roberts as Communications Coordinator. Together, they bring a dynamic mix of leadership, governance, and expertise to drive the club’s vision forward.
The general committee includes Chris Davie and Scott Pearson, who bring valuable energy and insight as current players, and Peter McDaid and Shane Hunter, who are both experienced team coaches. Rounding out the committee is Alycia Dimitrijevski, a dedicated Team Manager who has been instrumental in fostering player development and team cohesion. This group’s diverse skills and passion for basketball provide a strong foundation for the club’s growth and success.
President Peter Hobbs, a former basketball player and coach with over 15 years of community development experience, is committed to making Peninsula Blitz a beacon of hope and well-being for the region.
Secretary Shae Pearson, an expert in governance and safety, brings a practical, community-focused approach, supported by her active, sporty family’s deep connection to basketball.
Treasurer Corinna Hunter, a finance and education professional, contributes a sharp focus on budgeting and resource management to ensure the club’s financial sustainability.
Communications Coordinator Taegan Roberts leverages her media and marketing expertise to strengthen community engagement and share the club’s inspiring stories.
